Music has always inspired and influenced my artwork and is a lifelong passion of mine: the fascination with overtones, harmonies and dissonances and its emotional impact.

My preferred medium is oil, using saturated vivid colors- mixed with sand – contrasting hues with bodily textures. The approach is subtle but crucial to create the geometrical,rhythmical patterns I’m looking for. Serene and luminous atmospheres contrast with the ascending scales of dark magma.

The Gouaches in this show were created ‘on location’ during my recent travels to the ‘Mayan Territory’ of Mexico.
